Hi All, I've been playing Empire off and on for half my life now -- since i was 18!   I just picked it up again after a few years break and now am joining the boards to learn something about the ultra DB.

Big thanks to Mark for creating such a highly customizable game, and to Ted for his really intriguing Ultra DB mod.

Hi Wiskerando,

It's really worth it to take your time while learning UltraDB.  I've been playing about a year now and I find the game most intriguing and challenging.  If you have any questions, please feel free to post and I'm sure someone would be more than happy to help. I myself will be more available after mid February in this regard.

Chuck

I have been playing ED on and off for years as well.  I first started playing back in the late 80’s on a Commodore 128.   I seem to play it restlessly for months at a time, and then I suddenly burnout and go dormant for a year or so until I get that urge to wreak havoc on someone!  The learning curve on the UltraDB is a real beast, but it is loads of fun.   After being away from the game for a year I am a little rusty.  But I am starting to get that old feeling again!  Does anybody know if EDEE plays well on Windows 7?

Thanks

Storm

I'll be soon upgrading to Windows 7 as well as too many problems with Windows Vista 64.  But there are no problems whatsoever with EDEE and Vista 64, so cannot imagine one with Windows 7.  But we shall see. Smile
